Today is National Pig Day in the United States. Originally created to celebrate the domestic pig, we can’t help but commandeer this non-official holiday to honor one of our favorite past times—hog hunting. So, thank you, Ellen Stanley and Mary Lynee Rave. We are so glad that in 1972, you two sisters decided to throw this day together to recognize the pig.
Pork is the most widely-eaten meat and we’re happy to contribute. And on that note, we’re heading out to the field.
Happy National Pig Day to all you hog hunters out there!
